Grissom Middle School held its Veterans Day ceremony today after a weather delay earlier this week.

Students invited veterans to attend and honored them with carnations, poems, and letters of gratitude. The band, orchestra, and choir also performed in recognition of their service.

Thank you to all veterans for your service to our country!

#PHMExcellence Tonight our Mary Frank Penn Pals Preschoolers will be dreaming of Sugar Plum Fairies, Snow Queen, the Mouse King, and the Nutcracker's many beautiful dancers thanks to @southolddancetheater School Principal and PHM mother Fiona Cameron-Martin who brought the ballet to our amazed little ones today 🩰👸💃🧚‍♀️

Some Elsie Rogers second graders are now officially published authors!

Throughout October, Miss Feller's students learned about the writing process—brainstorming, drafting, and revising their own spooky stories. Today, they saw their completed books for the first time—and the smiles said it all. Way to go, Roadrunners!

Mrs. Kylee Wetzel’s Play School class welcomed a special guest for Veterans Day — Sergeant Chane, a Marine and the father of one of Penn's Early Childhood Education students.

He shared stories from his time serving in Iraq and brought along special items from his service for the students to see.

Thank you, Sergeant Chane, for visiting and for your service to our country! ❤️🤍💙

A huge thank you to our P-H-M Facilities Team!

Over the past couple days, our crews worked around the clock—starting as early as 3:30 a.m.—to clear several inches of wet, heavy snow from sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways across the district. Their hard work ensured safe access to our schools for students and staff!

They also made sure Everwise Freed Field was plowed so the Penn Kingsmen could continue preparing for their Regional Championship football game this Friday!

We’re grateful for their dedication and commitment to keeping our schools and students safe. ❄️💛🖤
