Principal’s Welcome

As the new principal of Horizon Elementary School, I am honored to join the Penn-Harris-Madison community and welcome you to our state-of-the-art PreK–5 school. Horizon has a proud history of excellence, recognized as an Indiana 4-Star School with a Grade “A” rating. From high academic performance and innovative classroom instruction to outstanding musical and dramatic performances, our school is a place where motivated, successful learners thrive.

I believe that educating a child requires a true partnership between home and school. Supported by our dedicated PTO, active volunteers, and caring community, we provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that celebrates our rich diversity. Our highly skilled teachers routinely collaborate, analyze data, and refine their practice as lifelong learners themselves to meet the unique needs of every child.

Above all, we hold our staff and students to high standards. Every day, we encourage our students to be responsible, respectful, trustworthy, and ready to learn, empowering them to make positive choices in and out of the classroom.
