P-H-M welcomes applications from non-resident students
The Penn-Harris-Madison Board of School Trustees has adopted a policy that allows non-resident students to apply to attend a P-H-M school for educational reasons. The non-resident student must be in good standing in his/her resident school corporation, and parents/ guardians must provide transportation to and from school. Parents/guardians agree to pay the transfer tuition in a timely manner as prescribed by the corporation
Horizon recognized as an Indiana Four Star School
On January 13, 2010 Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett announced Indiana’s Four Star School awardees for the 2008-2009 school year. The Four Star School Award, the state’s highest distinction, was given to 188 schools for their attendance rates, student achievement and performance on the I-STEP+.
Emergency closings and delays
When severe weather closes or delays school before the school day begins, local radio and television stations announce that information. You may also check the P-H-M web site at www.phmschools.org. Please do not call the school office for closing information. Parents and students are responsible for knowing about emergency closings and delays.

Here is Horizon's School-wide Positive Behavior Plan. The goal of the program is to increase the school's ability to address the behavioral needs of all students and staff effectively and efficiently.
Kids Club
Kids Club is a childcare program designed to provide children of working parents with childcare in a safe, home-like atmosphere. The program provides care for children in kindergarten through grade five. Kids Club members are able to choose from a variety of recreational, social and enrichment activities each day.
Volunteer Information
Volunteers are needed and appreciated at your child's school. Donating a few precious hours of your time can make all the difference.
